Faculty Profile

Dawn Snyder is the Chair for the Master’s in Instructional Design & Performance Technology at Franklin University.  She joined Franklin in 2008 as an Instructional Designer, creating online and face-to-face courses for the College of Arts, Sciences and Technology.  Dr. Snyder was formerly the CEO and Managing Principal of Dawn Snyder Associates, Inc., a virtual organization specializing in curriculum architecture, competency development, and measuring and evaluating the impact of courses, performance tools and curricula.

Dr. Snyder also brings 14 years of university teaching experience to her roles, including teaching graduate courses in performance analysis, job and task analysis, critical reading, and instructional design, as well as undergraduate courses in interpersonal communications and management.

Dawn holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University, and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Butler University.  She has been designated a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) by the International Society for Performance Improvement and is certified in DACUM (a job analysis process) and SCID (a curriculum development process) through the Center on Education for Training and Employment at The Ohio State University.
