Robert Curtis has over 25 years experience as a President and CEO of integrated healthcare delivery systems in the northeast and Midwest. Most recently he was President and CEO of Cardinal Health System, a multi-hospital system serving East-Central Indiana. He holds a doctoral degree in Health Care Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Masters in Hospital Administration from Washington University, St. Louis, and a BA degree in Zoology from the University of Connecticut. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is active in their Central Ohio Chapter. Dr. Curtis is active in the Association of University Programs in Healthcare Administration, and has served on various program certification teams. Dr. Curtis has taught at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. He has served on numerous national and professional committees, including the United State Chamber of Commerce Labor Committee, and the boards of the New Jersey and Indiana Hospital Associations. He has published extensively and has been a presenter at national conferences on healthcare.
Currently, Dr. Curtis is the Dean of the College of Health and Public Administration, as well as Chair of the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) Program. In his capacity as the Dean, Dr. Curtis oversees the Department of Health and the Department of Public Administration.
